The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) decried the apparent transformation of the Government Service and Insurance System into a crooks haven. According to Danilo "Ka Daning" Ramos,secretary general of the group, "maybe it is more apt if the meaning of GSIS is changed to Graft and Scandals Insured Services. With former Agriculture Undersecretary Jocelyn "Joc-joc" Bolante, Winston Garcia and Jose T. Santos, on the board of the GSIS, it is seemingly turning into a gallery of rogues,"

 Bolante is now facing graft charges in connection with the fertilizer scam, Garcia is now embroiled on unliquidated cash advances fiasco and Atty. Jesus T. Santos, a known defender of Mike Arroyo in the "Jose Pidal" scandal.

 "With these characters are Jesse Andres, the legal counsel and chief of staff of Vice President Noli de Castro, and Raul Serrano, a brother-in-law of Senate President Franklin Drilon. Has GSIS not only turned into a virtual rogues gallery but a prime reward for the closest associates of the powers that be as well?" asked the peasant leader.

 As for his part Carl Anthony Ala, public information officer of KMP, "it seems that it is now the time for dividing the spoils of war, after the elections, the wolves and hyenas are feasting on the carcass of our prostate nation. Apparently the GSIS is the juiciest part,"
