The left-leaning Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) castigated Landbank and QUEDANCOR Chair Luisito Lorenzo, anew and charged the government executive embroiled in numerous scandals as of late as to have sunk a notch lower in the realm of the worms. According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of the group, “now that some of his imeldefic antics have been found out Lorenzo is trying to hide records that would expose all of his carte blanche undertakings. Sources from the DA has reported that the beleaguered exec, instructed QUEDANCOR president Nelson Buenaflor to secure all records of his expenses and seal them in a vault in the latter’s office,”

“His action is really unheard of, the Commission on Audit should subpoena all these records and this should be brought under public scrutiny. If he refuses, then he himself should be called by a congressional inquiry and he should answer for his actions, better yet he should be sent to jail for indiscriminately spending hard-earned taxpayer’s money,” added the peasant leader.

In recent developments former DA Sec. Lorenzo has been involved in a slew of controversies namely the misuse of the P7.8 million El Nino fund, the P2.5 million and P446,527.51 Livecor funds used for his Learjet trips and the use of public funds amounting to P324,287 for the payment of his cell phone bills, on top of all these, Lorenzo along with former DA Usec. Jocelyn Bolante have a plunder case filed against them in the Office of the Ombudsman concerning the P728 million agri. Funds used by Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in her campaign kitty.

“Lorenzo’s actions really proves his insensitivity, opulence, callousness and outrageousness concerning public funds and now he has the gall to hide all his mischief. This behavior can only be exhibited by a sacred cow in the herd of PGMA. Like GM Garcia of the GSIS, Lorenzo acts with impunity, without fear of prosecution from the Palace,” said Carl Anthony Ala, public information officer of KMP.

“A hold departure order should be issued on Lorenzo and Bolante to stop them from hiding from the farmers that they have duped. Their appointments should also be put on hold, so that they cannot influence the case and the controversy should be probed until all his cohorts and accomplices have been brought to justice,” Ala ended. # # #
