“Another impeachable offense!”-KMP
The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas
(KMP) challenged the Department of Land Reform (DLR) to pinpoint
the exact areas where supposedly the Marcos loot was used by the department
for the Comprhensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).
“Secretary Rene Villa, should account where the P9.7 billion supposedly for land reform went because if not it is not only his head that will roll but as well as his principal’s. If they cannot pinpoint where the money went then at the least the case that can be filed against the ones involved and particularly President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is malversation of public funds, but considering the amount of the loot a charge of plunder can be filed. This is a highly impeachable case and they should ensure that everything is above board but as the things develop it seems that it is not,” added the peasant leader. As for his part Carl Anthony Ala, public information officer of KMP, “it can all be summed-up to a very simple line: Show us the money or at least where it went! All this talk is really nothing unless the government can show us where it went and if it is indeed authorized to use the money. As things go everything they utter or do is now suspect, because they cannot provide where every centavo of the Marcos loot is,” “Their so-called itemization presented the other day is pathetic because it is very general and you cannot trace the funds of the late dictator,” As for former Senator Salonga’s claim that the Left should stop bickering among themselves and get their act together. “The real Left is not bickering nor muddling
the issue it is the impostors and oppotunists who are making a mockery
of the Marcos human rights victims,” ended Ala. # # #
