The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) challenged Presidential Spokesperson Ignacio Bunye, to speak up and expose the truth regarding the 2 CDs he presented the other day to the media, because the administration has dropped him like a hot potato. 

According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of KMP, “ as things are going Sec. Bunye will be Malacanang’s sacrificial lamb, because the neck of the president is on the line. But we do believe Sec. Bunye’s admission that indeed it was Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s voice in the CDs. Aside from this, just look at the areas discussed in the CDs and indeed Gloria won in them, over FPJ by over 200,000 votes,”

“Sec. Bunye should also expose his source to clear his name, but what is important here is the contents of the CDs and the lengths the administration will go to save its head. It is even willing to sacrifice one of its most priced men, to get away with stealing the elections,” added the peasant leader.

Meanwhile Ka Willy Marbella, internal deputy secretary of the group, “another indication of Gloria’s growing desperation is the ongoing loyalty checks in the AFP. The administration may deny it but it is obvious through the visits of Gloria to military establishments yesterday as well as the issuance of support statements of the chiefs of the army, navy and the air force to the president,”

“One more point is that as of late, Department of Justice Sec. Raul Gonzales acting more as a rabid attack dog of Malacanang, he has constantly threatened to file charges against witnesses or whistleblowers that would implicate the Palace to any wrong doings. First with the jueteng scandal and now on those who exposed and distributed the controversial CDs,” said Marbella.

On the other hand Carl Anthony Ala, public information of KMP, “ we are indeed in a very volatile situation and it can erupt any time soon or it may take months to develop but eventually it will lead to the ouster of Gloria from power. Any moves of the administration and its allies to fool the people again or shield the president from the righteous wrath of the people will only result to a more powerful storm that would crush this corrupt administration,” # # #
