The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) made this observation as calls for her resignation further increased after her admission that she was the female voice in the infamous Gloriagate tapes. 

According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of the group, “now that she has accepted her culpability in the biggest fraud in recent Philippine history, this beyond doubt proves the rottenness of the entire ruling system. Just listen to the tapes and we will discern that the COMELEC, Senators, the military, local government officials and even NAMFREL are involved in massive cheating during the last elections. It is very pervasive,”

“As it is the only way to correct this at the soonest time possible is to oust Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo or for her to resign and for radical and sweeping changes to be implemented by the councilor person to replace her. If not then it will happen all over again. We must cut the roots of this rottenness and at this moment the primary one is in Malacanang,” added the peasant leader.

Meanwhile Carl Anthony Ala, public information officer of the group, “actually we were not surprised that the military and the police top brass immediately reaffirmed their support to GMA after her public apology, because we also know that these are the same generals who benefit from all the First families unscrupulous activities. Besides they would not be on the AFP and PNP top brass if they were not loyal and useful to the Arroyos,”

“Just look at Gen. Lomibao,who said to be involved in jueteng, Gen. Abu who is so extravagant in using the AFP’s funds. Then there are the ones before them like Ebdane, Mendoza, Defensor, Abaya, Reyes, Cimatu and the like all of which are lapdogs of the president,” added Ala.

“This Gen Abahacon which was mentioned in the tapes should be investigated immediately as well as all the people mentioned and recorded in it. The people must know the truth and know amount of apologies should keep them away from it. We are now calling on all patriotic and honest servicemen to stand-up for the truth and abandon the lying bogus president. If not then they will be dragged with her into the dustbin of history,” ended Ala. # # #
