“The police should be sent back to grade one!”-KMP

For having poor mathematical skills the militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) urged the Philippine National Police (PNP) to send all of its enlisted personnel back to Grade One.

According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of KMP, “the police should learn how to truly count and divulge the actual number that they have ascertained and should not insult the intelligence of the participants of the anti-Gloria rallies as well as that of the general public. Camp Crame officials are just deluding themselves by saying that last Wednesday’s massive rally was just attended by 15,000 anti-Gloria protesters,”

“Actually these statements of the police are self-serving and just a ploy to heighten there morale against the growing calls for Gloria’s ouster as well as their capability to block or stop rallyists in joing the main mobilization in Makati. The number of the BAYAN forces alone is approximately 20,000 and when you add the other forces then definitely the total mobilization would reach 40,000-60,000” added the peasant leader.

Meanwhile Ka Willy Marbella, internal deputy secretary general of the group, “the best way for the police to really know the true number of mobilzations is to for them to join it as an organized force also calling for the ouster of Gloria. Using self-serving and deluding scientific formulas just won’t do,”

“If we are to use the PNP formula though, but based on concrete conditions on the ground and compare it with our own tallies of the groups that were there, it would not have such a large discrepancy. The 3,000 sq. m in front of the stage should have been multiplied by 4 and not 2 considering you cannot move in that area. This alone would amount to 12,000 people. Then the 9,000 sq. m should have been mutiplied by 2, because there is still room to move, but the PNP purposely also shortened the breath of the mob but as can be seen in arial photos the protest area stretches  up to Makati Ave. and even further, which would contain at least 10,000 people,”

“So if we all add this up this would amount to 40,000 at least. The PNP should really brush up with their basic arithmetic because if not then maybe grade one is too high for them and instead they should be reduced to kindergarten cops,” ended Marbella. # #
