“Gloria Commission a farce!”-KMP

The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) chided Malacanang for initiating the so-called truth commission and branded it as a mere whitewash machinery and should instead be called the Gloria Commission.

According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of KMP, “as long as  Malacanang has a hand on the formation of any truth commission it can never be truly independent and would just serve as a cover-up apparatus for Gloria. It can also be used by the regime to derail the legitimate protest actions calling for Gloria’s ouster,”

“But in our assessment it is too late for this type of body to be formed because 80% of Filipinos are already calling for Gloria’s head. A truth commission at this time would be superfluous as well as a waste of time and money of the Filipino people,” added the peasant leader.

Meanwhile Ka Willy Marbella, internal deputy secretary general of the group said, “the decisive action that would oust Gloria from Malacanang is not a truth commission, especially one sponsored by Gloria, nor the impeachment trial but the humongous mobilizations like those of the past EDSA uprisings. At best the impeachment and the truth commission will only provide more data to incriminate the regime,”

“Our  unsolicited advise to Gloria, just step down and avoid being hauled out from Malacanang, though of course you will still be prosecuted after resigning,” ended Marbella. # # #
