The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) hit the latest attempt of the Macapagal-Arroyo administration to ignore the corruption and electoral cheating hounding it, this time boosted by eyewitness accounts of Michaelangelo Zuce. 

According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of KMP, “Sec. Bunye’s evasive answers pertaining to specific questions regarding Garcillano and Zuce, more so on specific allegations against the fake President is indeed an implicit admission of guilt. In other words “mukhang guilty,”

“Sec. Bunye may also have misgivings on being caught with his foot in his mouth again like what happened last June 6,concerning the Hello Garci tapes. He may say something today that Gloria may admit or deny in the coming days. If we look at it this way Sec. Bunye may just be playing safe but we believe that he was made to shut up on the issue so as not to give more information on the real tasks of Zuce in the Palace and what he really knows, because this would definitely implicate Gloria” added Ramos.

“It seems that the primary political operators in Malacanang are now wracking their brains out on how to destroy Zuce’s credibility at the least and to have him recant his testimony at most. Zuce’s testimony may well be the last nail on Gloria’s political coffin,” said the peasant leader.

“The administration is now so hard put to even explain how they produced the so-called sworn statement of Sec. Jose Ma. Rufino denying Zuce’s allegations, when the former is critically ill. This regime is so entrenched in lies that hardly anyone believes it anymore,” ended Ramos. # # #
