The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) issued a challenge to former Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Jocelyn “Joc-joc” Bolante to face them at today’s Senate hearing regarding the P728 million Ginintuang Masaganang Ani fertilizer scam. 

According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of KMP, “if indeed he is not hiding anything then attend the Senate hearing and face us. Tell us all you know of the P728 fertilizer fund and where it went because we farmers definitely got none. We have always been used by this regime as an excuse to mulct more money from the taxpayers and yet it does not fulfill its promises,”

“He should be responsible enough to face us and divulge what he knows so that this issue would be settled once and for all. But as it seems, Joc-joc is playing hard to get, thereby strengthening our charge that Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo indeed used the P728 million fertilizer fund for her campaign kitty during the  last elections,” added the peasant leader.

“This issue would not be laid to rest until the truth has come out and we will exhaust all means to get to the truth. Even when Gloria is finally ousted we will pursue this case, the peasant masses and the Filipino people deserves nothing less than the truth. Evading it or hiding behind legal technicalities would not do,” said Ramos.

“If Joc-joc still choose to hide then we will track him down to the ends of the earth to get to what he is hiding. That is how determined we are,” ended Ramos. # # #
