Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) - Peasant Movement of the Philippines

KMP to ISAFP: “Drop the I from the ISAFP!”

The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) castigated the Intelligence Services of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) for committing one blunder after another in the last few days.

According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of KMP, “is there no end to the AFP’s inutility and inefficiency? First, they passed a report to Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo saying that Julius Babao, a news anchor of ABS-CBN, as the one who posted bail for suspected terrorist Tyrone “Dawud” Santos, but a few days later they come out saying that they have no evidence against Babao. Then yesterday they said that Dawud Santos already jumped bail, only to be embarrassed when Santos showed up for his court hearing in Camiling, Tarlac. Is this really the intelligence service talking? They wasting precious tax payers’ money,”

“They cannot find Dawud Santos because they are not looking for him in the first place, they are just doing the motions that they are so that they can pretend that they are doing something and at the same time push for the extremely oppressive Anti-Terrorism Bill. They would not find anything if they are just using their mouths,” added the peasant leader.

Meanwhile Ka Willy Marbella, internal deputy secretary general of KMP said “the AFP and the PNP does not need an Anti-Terror Law, what they need is a comprehensive retraining for intelligence efficiency. Now just to have Santos in jail another rabid pro-Gloria official named Raul Gonzales, filed rebellion charges against him, because rebellion is a non-bailable offense,”

“This is an obvious trumped up charge so as to imprison him. This move is also trying to obscure the difference between rebellion and terrorism, maligning national liberation movements as well. The regime is really messing up and deserves to be put out of its misery,” ended Marbella. # # #
