“Palace attack dogs should let Daquil be!”-KMP

The militant Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) took the cudgels for Air Force allowance anomaly whistleblower Col. Efren Daquil, when Malacanang attack dogs unduly criticized him as nothing but a sour grape. The issue of Daquil leaving his family for another woman was also brought out.

According to Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos, secretary general of KMP, “all these issues that are being brought out against Daquil are at most mere distractions from the real issue of his expose’. The point of the whole matter trying to be muddled here is where did the P30 million PAF savings go? Is it true that Air Force officers receive illegal P45, 000 allowance monthly from these savings? These primary questions have to be answered. The other issues are secondary utmost,”

“Daquil for all we know may indeed be sour graping for not becoming a wing commander and he is not denying that he left his family for a younger woman, but this does not change the fact that P30 million worth of taxpayers’ money is gone. Where did go? Why is it that it is only now that the Philippine Air Force is explaining it when Daquil said he had been inquiring about it since last year,” added the peasant leader.

“It was but right that Daquil went to the media to expose this anomaly because when coursed through the PAF’s process then nothing would happen and it will just be whitewashed. At least the public knows about it now, and shows the extent of the corruption happening in the AFP. We are enjoining other officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to speak up and expose the rottenness of the institution so that it would be corrected immediately. They should not be afraid because the people will support them,” ended Ramos. # # #
