Michael Koalkevich

 
Funeral services for Michael Kovalkevich, age 79, of Eastlake, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake.

Mr. Kovalkevich died Aug. 20, 2008, in Cleveland.

Born July 24, 1929, in Cleveland, he lived there before moving to Eastlake 42 years go.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Kovalkevich retired from Ohio Bell in 1986.

Survivors are his children, Mary Jo (Brent) Kozar, Susan Zimmerman and Michael (Karen) Kovalkevich; grandchildren, Aaron, Jaime, Kristin (Jeffrey) Cowen, Michael and Brianna; and great-grandchildren, Kyle, Lexi and Spencer.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lucille (Hradisky); parents, Stephen and Anastasia (Kihton) Kovalkevich; siblings, Frank, John and Nick; and son-in-law, Corey J. Zimmerman.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake 44095. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
