Takato: Well, whatever happens now I absolutely know that we'll always be together.
Guilmon: Mm-hmm.
The battle between Gallantmon and Beelzemon begins. At first they seem to be about even. Slowly, Beelzemon gains the upper hand. He is too fast for Gallantmon. Plus, Gallantmon must protect the others from Beelzemon. Meanwhile, Zhuqiaomon orders Caturamon to destroy the traitor Lopmon and the humans that have invaded his territory. Caturamon arrives and is about to attack Susie and Lopmon when Terriermon knocks him away at the last moment. Terriermon falls over a cliff and is hurt. Gallantmon appears before Caturamon and destroys him with his Lightning Joust attack. Beelzemon absorbs the data and gets even stronger. They fight a little more, and then Beelzemon knocks Gallantmon down and puts his gun to his head. Just when all seems lost, Guardramon fires his attack and distracts Beelzemon. Gallantmon uses this distraction and knocks Beelzemon down. He then fires Lightning Joust. Then, Gallantmon fires his most powerful attack, Shield of the Just. Beelzemon is defeated, but when Gallantmon goes to finish him off, Jeri stops him. Beelzemon leaves, questioning everything that has happened.
Kazu: Man, two sad girls.
Kenta: Hey, Kazu!
Kazu: I haven't even started dating. I've gotta deal with two sad girls.
Guardromon: Once you start dating I'm sure you'll make many girls sad.
(hahaha!!! ~_~)
Kazu: What?!
Takato, Henry, and Rika head off to rescue Calumon from the digimon sovereign. Kazu, Kenta, Jeri, and Suzie stay behind. Once they reach their destination, Zhuqiaomon attacks. All three digimon matrix digivolve, but they are powerless against the powerful mega. Rapidmon is damaged by one of Zhuqiaomon's attacks and de-evolves. Henry seems to think that he's got to do everything on his own, but Rika, and Takato remind him that they are a team. No sooner does Suzie show up. She was worried about her partner Lopmon, and her D-Arc tranported Suzie to her. Henry and Terriermon Bio-Merge into MegaGargomon. MegaGargomon attacks Zhuqiaomon and does quite a bit of damage. The large digimon falls through the ground, and the Tamers seem to have won. Just as they are about to start looking for Calumon, Zhuqiaomon reappears, and promises to destroy them...

The Tamers are on the run from Zhuqiaomon. Renamon Matrix digivolves into Taomon and protects them with her protective shield, but it won't last long. Guilmon and Terriermon jump out and try to fight the fiery sovereign, but they can't harm him. Just when Zhuqiaomon is about to destroy them, Azulongmon shows up and blocks his attack! Azulongmon tells Zhuqiaomon its time to stop his foolish hatred of the humans, and they must focus their attention on the true enemy. Zhuqiaomon doesn't agree, and launches another attack at Guilmon. Takato jumps out of the force field, and falls down to his partner. They bio-merge into Gallantmon, and fight Zhuqiaomon. After a few minutes of fighting, Azulongmon breaks the fight up. Zhuqiaomon realizes that humans and digimon working together form a powerful force. The sovereign reveal that the true enemy has existed since the beginning of the digital world. Mr. Mizuno shows up and tells them the enemy is D-Reaper. It was a program designed to keep the digimon from getting too powerful. Apparently it mutated by using the data of the digimon it deleted, thus making it stronger than the sovereign themselves. In order to convince the enemy that the digimon weren't getting to strong, the digi-nomes sealed away the power of digivolution into a digimon: Calumon. The enemy has now reawakened, and it could spell the end of the digital world.

Terriermon: Yeah. I mean, how are we supposed to kick it's butt, if it doesn't
even have one?
The Tamers, Azulongmon, and Zhuqiaomon set out to retrieve Calumon. From the pit where he is located emerges the chaos of D-Reaper in the forms of pinkish-red bubbles. Rika decides to go down and get Calumon, despite the danger. Ryo, who had just shown up with Cyberdramon, goes down after her. They climb down, and eventually see Calumon climbing up. He jumps into Rika's arms, and as he does, the chaos intensifies. Ryo pulls her into a hole in the wall just in time. Rika decides they must fight the chaos. She and Renamon jump over the cliff towards D-Reaper. The two Bio-Merge into Sakuyamon. She is able to fend off the D-Reaper's chaos. They climb back up and meet with the others. Once they have gotten a distance away, D-Reaper's chaos begins to erupt from the pit again.
Janyu's Ark
Renamon: We'll start with Impmon, because every wave begins, with a drop of water.
Rika: Yeah, but waves don't talk back. They also don't make good friends.
Renamon: If he gets too mouthy I'll gag him with his bandana. Let's go.
The Sovereigns insist that the tamers head back to the real world, as the Chaos shoots up like a geyser. Jeri starts talking to her puppet and acting very strange. Meanwhile, West Shinkuku is being evacuated due to the earthquakes caused by Vikaralamon. Yamaki checks with the Monster Makers to see how the progress on the Ark is going. Back in the Digital World, Beelzemon is feeling bad for what he did to Leomon and Jeri. He yells at a swarm of Chrysalimon and they attack him. As he is covered by the Chrysalimon he yells that he doesn't want the power, and wants it taken back. He falls to the ground and his red scarf is blown away by the wind. Renamon senses something and suddenly the chaos shoots up again. The Sovereigns are astonished to see that it's toying with them. So the Sovereigns decide it's time to make final preparations. They tell Calumon it's time and he is the light of Digivolution itself. Azulongmon explains that his wish was granted and the light was made into a Digimon, to conceal it from the true enemy. But the time has come for the light to be released. With the help of some Digi-gnomes, he is able to release the light. He yells Shining Digivolution and rainbow light shoots out in all directions. Digimon from all over are able to digivolve. Suddenly all of the Digimon that the light Digivolved (all Megas) fly toward Calumon. Rika uses her D-Power get the data on Gryphomon and Takato gets the data on Phoenixmon. Kazu and Kenta point out Boltmon, Pleciomon, GranKuwagamon and Jijimon and Babamon. Suddenly something crashes into the ground a few feet away. Kenta walks over and pulls it out by the tail. Rika's D-Power identifies it as MarineAngemon, a very small Mega. Kenta helps him on his way to join the other digimon. Jeri talks to her puppet who says sadness can be deleted and walks off. In the real world, the Ark is finally ready. Takato gets an e-mail about it on Yamaki's communicator. Everyone is happy they are going home until they realize that Jeri is gone. Takato's parents get a call and are over-joyed. The Tamers look for Jeri and finally Guardromon finds her. But her brown pupils are HUGE, and strangely enough she has an evil smile on her face. In the real worl, Janyu explains the Ark to Riley. Yamaki explains to the Tamers how the Ark will get there. And they only have forty minutes to get to the point they arrived at. Azulongmon tells the Tamers that he is unsure of their destiny in this battle but is sure it will play out in the real world. Zhuqiaomon calls them an abomination again, but wishes them luck. Azulongmon tells Calumon that he may live the rest of his life as a Digimon and Azulongmomn gives the Tamers a cloud to fly away on. Suddenly, the chaos shoots up and hits the real world. The attack shuts down HYPNOS. Renamon finds Impmon's scarf, so she and Rika go back to get him. Yamaki stresses out over the system shut down, but Janyu says 'momantai' and tells him he has an idea. Rika and Renamon continue their search and Renamon explains that there has always been a conection between her and Impmon. Renamon also explains a compassion she has felt since she bacame Sakuyamon. Janyu's plan works, as people all over the world are contacted and give the proccessing power of their computers to to help them, creating one super computer. Yamaki calls the Monster Makers the perfect team and lays his lighter down for them. The tracks to the Ark appear just as Rika and Renamon find Impmon. But he's reluctant to accept help. The timer on the palm pilot reaches 00:00 and the Ark arrives. It looks hopeless for Rika, Renamon and Impmon...
