Silla University | |||||
Violations by Silla personnel: In July 1999, when I visited Silla I was directed to meet with Song Won Moon, Chairman of the Department of English Literature, who was said to be in charge of the recruitment of foreigners. In the second meeting, he asked me to record a very long TOEFL exam with Marry O'Neil and Bruce Nickerson for the Silla University web page. In actuality this exam was used for his own corrupt monetary gain in his private institute in Kaegum. In the third meeting, he invited me to his office where he falsely explained and had me sign a contract which he kept in his office, saying "it is for immigration purposes." As required by law, the contract was written in Korean. He promised to provide me with an English version in the future, but never did produce that English version of the contract. After signing I was introduced to Lee Gi Suk the director of Silla University's private Foreign Language Institute and now partner in The Berkeley Institute in Kaegum. In a forth meeting, Song Won Moon took me to the administration building and had me meet with Director Kim Hyeong Seok of General studies and then the director of housing to sign a second contract which I was permitted to keep. That contract was written in Korean as well and no Enlgish version was even provided. Almost one month later, I discovered that the conditions of the second contract were substantially different from what I was told in both contracts. In Korean my title was "instructor" and not the "guest professor" that I was promised before signing. I was paid "15K" won an hour for over time and not the "20K" won an hour for overtime that I was promised before signing. I was not given the "tax free professor status" that I was promised before signing. My apartment did not have the phone service that I was promised before signing, which meant that I had to go out on the streets at night in dangerous Sasanggu in order to phone my parents at home in the States. I was told that I might have to accept an apartment mate and not have the single apartment that I was promised before signing. Up to that time, I had not been given the "single office, the desk and the internet" that I was promised. In addition to these lies, Song Won Moon also never help me to enroll in the free Korean art and music classes that he promised before signing. It was later that I discovered Silla would also try to deny paying the severance and pension that were required by law and promised to me before signing. I understand now that Song Won Moon would have said anything to get me to sign that contract written in KOREAN. I can not begin to tell you the level of anger that this has cause in me toward Korean academics and BUSINESS. I approached Song Won Moon and told him how angry I was that he and the director of Silla University's private International Language Institute, Lee Gi Suk, had lied to me. They denied everything. At that point, I refused to teach overtime and I refused to teach during my promised paid vacations even dispite their threats. Several times Song Won Moon and the Mr. Lee Gi Suk ("Mr." as I have found out that he does not really have a doctorate, not having written his thesis.) tried to trick me into teaching extra for them, repeatedly saying "If you help me, I will help you., That is how things work here." (a corrupt "quid pro quo" like halloween's "trick or treat.") and "The students are specifically asking for you." Still I refused. I told them that until they admitted to the wrong that they had done to me, I would not help them by doing anything extra. Then, they told the department secretary in the part time teachers' locker/mail room/lounge to give me a heavy schedule with too many hours thinking that I would give in. Unlike the first semester when Song Won Moon, Kim Gi Suk and Marry O'Neil railroaded my schedule for their own benefit, every following semester I cancelled the classes that were too much or a split shift despite the harassment they gave me. In retaliation, Song Won Moon never gave me the office that he promised me in contract, not even with a non-smoking office mate when he had a chance. There are and have been pleanty of empty room on campus. Still he never gave me an office. They simply threw a desk in the corner of the part time teachers' locker/mail room/lounge and secretary's office. Like grand central station, it was loud, with 3 to 8 people in that room most of the time. I had no place to give proper speaking exams and plan lessons. Until this semester, the secretary (Hyoung Kyoung) would get extremely angry when students would visit me for help. I was told by the secretary to meet my students outside at a picnic table, even in the winter. That was if my students could find me, as I had no name plate on the door. However, Marry O'Neil has a "state of the art" office, many desks, carpeting, video, audio and internet. Robert White has his own office with video, audio and internet. Ian Pringle has a nice office with one other professor. Each having their own desks, book shelves, computers and printers. I was given an old slow computer to share with all of the part time instructors, but I am a full time employee. My having that desk in the mail/locker room/lounge caused others to envy me and tell me so. Envy poisons relationships and being serious about teaching my students well has not given me time to smooth over the differences between the part time instructors and myself. Additionally, the room was not secure, I could not leave any important documents in there as all of the desk keys were the same and easy to get. So I had to carry everything important with me all of the time in a heavy shoulder bag that ruined my suits. I was marginalized by Song Won Moon in a way as to damage my career. Why was I never given the single office that he explicitly promised me? It is in the contract. Confucius would be shocked by the disrespect that foreign English educators are subjected to at Silla. I was not the only person who experienced difficulties from Song Won Moon. Song Won Moon encouraged and benefitted from using Marry O'Neil as a lying spy spreading malicious slander and rumors about the four foreign English educators: Bruce Nickerson JD; Ian Pringle MBA; Robert White MA and Harry David Candela MA. In turn, Marry O'Neil was rewarded with better schedules and bonus hours. (Each semester she tries to teach between 30 and 40 hours a week for the money. When does she prepare for her classes?) The details of Marry O'Neil's vitriolic attacks are in the two earliest professional petitions dated May 2000 and June 2000 and included with this letter. Please, read them. They are shocking. They include, vacation timing, class scheduling, family matters, sexual preference (homo, hetero or bi), disparaging remarks about teaching methods and much more. She has seriously damaged our professional reputation and our abilities to work and live. Due to the large amount of abuse we suffered, from Song Won Moon and Marry O'Neil, some things have not been included in those petitions. Still, the abuse did occur. One incident that comes to mind in the winter of 1999-2000 and the day before the spring semester, Song Won Moon tried to make me pay for the replacement of a ten year old hot water heater (boiler) in the school provided apartment. However, the school ended up paying for that as I had no money at the time. The housing director managed to work things out better when I threatened to leave Silla University. It was cold and I waited for two weeks to tell them about the hot water heater as Song Won Moon and Marry O'Neil were predictable. Marry O'Neil rumor monger lied to Song Won Moon, and then Song Won Moon said that the TEN year old, burnt out and leaking boiler was broken because of abuse. It was cold, so cold. The difficulties caused by being marginalized by Song Won Moon and Marry O'Neil at Silla Univeristy are far reaching. After I came back from a vacation in the winter of 2000-2001, my apartment had no power and heat, as the department secretary (Hyoung Kyoung) did not inform the utilities that I was coming back! Another cold night, but why? Did she think that I was not returning? I was specific about when I was returning. On returning, I found that a text book series had been selected by a department of English, without asking any of the full time foreign English staff to evaluate the texts. In fact, through interdepartmental memorandum, the entire foreign English staff was blamed for supposedly not systematically using a common text series, despite that fact that we did all use the school mandated texts in proper order. Why did the Chairperson of the Department of English blame the foreign help for whatever failures occurred under her. Was it to excuse buying a text book series that we consider out of date? As the rumors were very wide spread and the damage done to our professional reputations so great, in addition to the addresses listed on the covers, the two earliest petitions were submitted to all of the administrative offices listed on the last signing pages. The four foreign English educators, who were injured and insulted, simply wanted to address Marry O'Neil and Song Won Moon in front of a group of fellow professor for the purpose of getting a requested apology, explanation and/or resignation. That is the standard applied to all full time Korean academics and at colleges and universities around the world. A small group of Silla University administrator discriminated against the full time foreign English faculty memebers. We were denied the right to a review board for professional misconduct, administrative "due process," with Marry O'Neil and Song Won Moon present to answer to their offenses. A small group of Silla University administrators conspired to cover up all of the abuse and damage that had been done, thus giving Song Won Moon and Marry O'Neil more power to do greater harm again and again and again. A sign of discrimination, in retaliation for requesting administrative "due process," the four damaged full time foreign English educators were punished even more. With each petition, we were called into the administration building, where Song Won Moon lied in his translation of English to the President, Dean of Accademic affairs, Assistant Dean and Director of General Education. After continuing to insist that Song Won Moon address the issues, we were told by Kim Myoung Huk and Kim Hyeong Seok to wait for the next meeting. Again, we were never permitted to address Marry O'Neil and Song Won Moon in a mediated professional forum. Bruce Nickerson, his wife and his daughter were moved to a new apartment, half way through his last semester at Silla. Through Song Won Moon, Lee Gi Suk and department secretaries, Kim Myoung Huk compelled Ian Pringle and Robert White to work during their summer and winter vacations (overtime hours without overtime pay), even with out the Director of the Department of English Education (Ian Pringle's supervisor) being informed. Where did all of that money in unpaid wages dissapear to? Also, no Korean professors are compelled to work during vacations, especially without overtime pay. Robert White was intimidated into teaching 40 hours a week last semester, 34 hours a week this semester and 35 hours this coming summer, in addition to being harassed by Song Won Moon in order to force/threaten him into dropping his support for redress of grievances and to also work for substandard wages at the private institute in Kaegum. Robert, has a heart condition and does not want to work himself to DEATH, but he is affraid that he and his friends will lose their jobs at Silla University if he does not do everything that Song Won Moon and Kim Myoung Huk demand. In conversation he detailed that his doctor was in disbelief about Silla's (Song Won Moon's) illegal working conditions and compulsory labor policy. However, Bob also secured a letter from that doctor excusing his being abscent from work. Hopefully, that doctor or Bob's insurance auditor reported Silla University to the authorities. Ian Pringle's structured sister relationship between Silla University and a high class Brown Stone Australian University has been crushed by Kim Myoung Huk, who is currently trying to compel Ian Pringle to teach 25 hours in this summer without overtime pay and during a time that Ian announced he had plans to travel to Australia on business (Despite the early announcement of Ian Pringle's vacation plans, Kim Myoung Huk advertised that Ian Pringle would be teaching at Silla during a conflicting time.) I, Harry David Candela was moved from a contractually obligated 20 pyoung apartment (Jahyoo Apt Sasanggu) to a 15 to 17 pyoung apartment (Namyoung Apt Sasanggu) in the middle of last semester during classes. After the two petitions, our pay has been reduced and we have not ben given Chusok and Lunar New Years (six month) bonuses anymore, despite the fact that they were promised to us by the last university president and paid last academic year, 1999-2000. It is discrimination to give the Korean educators bonuses, but not give the white teachers bonuses. With my contract coming to an end, I am the only full time foreign English educator at Silla who nolonger fears the retaliatory abuse directed from Song Won Moon, Kim Hyeong Seok and Kim Myoung Huk. In April 2001, after being harassed and sworn at by Marry O'Neil, on two seppaerate mornings in one week, in the partime teachers' mail/locker room/lounge, I determined that 10 months was long enough to wait for Silla University to deliver administrative justice. I gave Silla University, in particular Director Kim Hyeong Seok, one month to do the right thing: give me a written apology; give me a written explanation for the discrimination and abuse; and provide the things that Song Won Moon promised to me. On a follow up visit to Kim Hyeong Seok, hoping to see progress, I stumbled on a secret meeting between him, Song Won Moon, Kim Myoung Huk and the director of housing. They have endeavored to hide every violation that was done. In advance I told them that I would let the authorities, media and students know everything. They continued to stall. Did they think that I was joking. I am from Regent!!!!! The week of May 7th to May 11th, I met with each of my classes for the last time. We discussed the lessons in the movie "The Joy Luck Club." At the end of each class, I apologized telling my students that I was not going to be teaching them again, until the administration apologized to me. I carefully explained that they were great students, angels with "jung" and all what was good about Korea. I thanked them for the time that we share life's path together and told them that I would miss/remember them. I gave explicit instructions that they were not to protest. I told them that this was a matter that I needed to solve on my own, without anger and without chaos. Then, only for their information and as proof for the reasons that I was concluding classes, I gave one person in each class a copy of the two petitions and correspondence that I sent to Kim Hyeong Seok. On finding out that I had told my students the reasons why I would go on strike and that I gave each class one copy of the petitions and letters, Kim Hyeong Seok called me into his office. He harassed me and tried to intimidate into "being quiet." He said that he was going to take me to court for liable. I said go ahead. Take me to court. The court would love to hear the tapes, see the pictures and read the petitions and letters that I have collected. (Unfortunately, I hid the tapes in my recycling bin and they are now gone due to my own habits of keeping a clean and neat home. However, I still have the pictures and papers.) Then, I reminded him that giving me my day in court would not help the Silla University's advertising campaign, as I had noticed the new posters and signs in the subway stations. In turn, he accused me of breaking the contract by hurting the university's name and not teaching. He threatened to fire me. I challenged him to fire me, for in stalling he tried to deny the four damaged full time foreign English educators any professional "due process" of administration. In other words, he had broken the contract first and discriminated. I let him know that in both situations we would go to court. Instead Kim Hyeong Seok told me to write a letter of resignation for him to use in a departmental meeting. I told him that I would ask my attorney if I should do that. From a pay phone, I called my uncle (my attorney) that evening and he told me not write the letter, because I am not resigning and I want the severance and then the pension that is mine by Korean Law and by Song Won Moon's promises. Silla University, broke Korean Labor Laws, our Contract and Song Won Moon's promises. In a letter the next day, I detailed that we would go to court as soon as my father came to Korea, for if Kim Hyeong Seok wants this issue to go away or even wants me to teach for Silla in any way, then they can give me an apology for the harm that was done to my career and the pain that has been caused through Marry O'neil's and Song Won Moon's lies and Kim Hyeong Seok's own manipulations. Instead, Kim Hyeong Seok sent me a letter detailing that my contract would expire in August. The first draft of the letter was titled "Letter of Co-opperation" and the second draft was titled "Letter of Contract Expiration." In other words, he planned to continue to hide the wrongs which were done to me. If I remained quiet, he would continue to pay me my monthly salary no matter if I taught my students or not. He tried to corrupt me. I hate that. It is clear that he understands nothing about Regent University Graduates! I am a man of my word and had only one option. When I went to the Puku Board of Labor, the administrator in charge of the office sternly called my case worker (inspector Choi) aside for a whispered chat (the hand motions and facial expressions were very clear), and then I was never allowed to fill out the complaint form. The interpreter who started to bring over the preprinted complaint application form was told that it would not be necessary. (I at least understood that.) Instead, after showing me Kim Myoung Huk's businessness card, the case worker called Silla University and took me to meet the administrators. There, at Silla University and in Kim Hyeong Seok's office, Kim Hyeong Suk rudely told me to "be quiet." Still, I interrupted him once to tell him to refer to me as "David" and not "the foreigner." Kim Hyeong Seok continued, lied and told half truths to the Board of Labor case worker, about the violations done to the four damaged foreign English educators, the violations done to me in specific and what we had done in trying to get justice. The Board of Labor Case Worker did not even let me reply to all that Kim Hyeong Seok said. The Case work listened a little, simply said that he found no violations of contract and he was too busy. He quickly left half way through the meeting. Next, Kim Hyeong Seok used a new interpreter from Silla University's Department of International relations to make false excuses for all of the discrimination and abuse that my fellow foreigners and I suffered from at Silla. He argued against me. He said that Silla has different rules for full time foreign instructors and Korean professors. I told him that my Regent University Masters was earned and that I had written a 280 page thesis on Sun Tzu. I also said that my Regent degree was academically ligitimate and therefore worth more than a bribery bought degree from some Korean university. I doubted Kim Hyeong Seok's excuses and told the translator that I wanted the excuses written on paper and signed. He did not put them in writing in a attempt to hide the truth longer. It is not unreasonable to ask that the excuses for which the full time foreign English educators, myself in particular, were denied administrative "due process" and denied "justice" should be typed on paper. Those excuses were simply more lies. If they are the truth, write them! It was after that, I filed against Silla University at the Board of Labor in Quachun City Complex, Seoul for the contract violations of insufficient housing, insufficient office and abusive conditions. On returning to Pusan, I tried to meet with the new president of Silla University to inform him that I had filed against Silla University. I was intercepted and stalled by the Media Relations Officer, who tried to negotiate a settlement between Kim Hyeong Seok and I. In that meeting Kim Hyeong Seok only offered me my tax refund and partial pension. The partial pension seemed short. It was only from the acculation of 6% witholding of my own pay checks and 3% or 4% contributions by Silla. Is it illegal for Silla to contribute less than I do to my pension? I was told that they were to be "matching funds" from Silla University. Kim Hyeong Seok offered less than half the amount that I should have been given. Kim Hyeong Seok said that I did not the deserve severance pay as it was only mandated by Korean Labor Law for labor, and I was considered to be like other professors, not labor. That is a lie. My lesson preperation and lecture time together are over 40 hours a week. Time spent preparing for lecture is labor intensive. There he made a big contradiction. Earlier he said that I was not a professor, and not entitled to the benefits that Korean professors have in the terms of title and administrative "due process." Next, he said that I was not labor. Everyone knows, instructors are not management! Everyone knows, instructors are not capital! I have a one year E2 visa that must always be renewed by leave the country. I honestly and faithfully work for one employer!!! I work more, but I am paid less than Korean professors. I am labor! I deserve both severance pay and pension pay both. I offered many compromises. I said that I would give up some of the promised benefits that Song Won Moon had lied about and I would give up the apology from Song Won Moon and Marry O'Neil, if Kim Hyeong Seok provided me with an "Administrative Letter of Regret" (taking no responsibility himself) for all of the friction and difficulties that the Foreign English educators had experienced at Silla University with the excuse that it was simply the growing pains of a newly expanded educational institution and the changing of administrations. Kim Hyeong Seok refused to sign the "Administrative Letter of Regret." At that point I went to file with the Board of labor in Pusan. There, I was informed that my contract mandated "severance or pension" contrary to Song Won Moon's lie of "Severance and pension." At the time when I signed the contract, I did not read Korean very well. Why did Song Won Moon lie? That case worker refused to help me further or even come to the school, declaring "That is your contract." Next, I stated that the Korean Labor Law requires severance and pension to be paid. The law is higher than a contract. My last employer paid both severance and pension. I was told that only applies only to public school teachers and not private school teachers. That reply is also contrary to everything that I have been told for the last four years. Incidentally, this problem occurred after the Pusan City Board of Labor case worker spoke on the telephone with Kim Hyeong Seok. I wonder what lies he told her. On that note, I went to the Union of Korean National University Teachers at Pusan National University. I asked them as to what I could do. I informed them of everything that had happened. They told me who to contact at the Silla University Workers Union. I was unable to contact him directly. However, I dropped off a documents package telling everything that had happened to me and my fight for severance and pension at his office. I made sure that they understood, I would give up some of the money for a simple written apology from Song Won Moon or an administrative letter of regret from Kim Hyeong Seok. At that point, I went to the courts and city hall in order to file a law suit against Silla University. The courts provided the forms and city hall was kind enough to translate them. Upon finding out to how file a law suit in Pusan, I went to Silla University to complete the forms with the help of my friends. It was then that I was called to the office of the Silla University Media Relations Officer. There he informed me that if I did not go back to work and forget about how my face was stolen, I would be fired in a few days. I told him that I respected his attempts to negotiate a settlement and that if I was fired I would: take Silla to court; turn the three months of students' attendance records, participation grades, homework grades, project grades and exam scores into the Ministry of Education in Seoul, there they would ask questions about as to why those students were given grades for less than the last three weeks of class; and that I would inform Berkeley, Madison and Florida Atlantic University as to the corrupt practices of Song Won Moon, Marry O'Neil and Kim Hyeong Seok (That includes copy write infringement, immigration law violations and forced labor from Silla full time English educators at Lee Gi Suk's private "Bereley Institute" in Kaegum. Where Song Won Moon's wife works and no-one will reveal who the third "silent" partner is. As a note, in 1997 after the crash of the monopolies, Lee Gi Suk was broke. Where did Lee Gi Suk, the ex-manager of Silla University's private International Language Institute get the money to start a Berkeley Institute above a Pizza Hut in Kaegum?) After that, I left his office. Suspecting that Kim Hyeong Seok had not informed the President of Silla University as to the truth and my intentions, I laid my umbrella down in the hallway, pulled a copy of the petitions and letters out of my bag, walked past the secretary into the Presidents office, bowed deeply, sat down as he told me to and gently handed him the documents. The president called for an interpreter. I calmly replied that I had enough of Silla professors' interpretations. I stated that he needed to be careful and Silla University needed to be careful as he has surrounded himself with "yesmen" who would say anything for their own gain. I then detailed to the president that I still had my student's grades and would not turn them in until right is done, as well as, that if I was fired, I was ready for court and to continue struggling for justice in America. As I have filed a complaint in Seoul, it would be illegal to fire me before the Quachun Board of Labor investigates. Slowly getting up, I bowed deeply, said have a nice day and backed out of the his office as a matter of respect. I wish that I could have spoken more with the president, but I respect him too much and felt uncomfortable having walked into his office without permission. Additionally, I did not trust the translators who arrived. In keeping with the Korean system, this case was sent by the Quachun Board of Labor to Puku's Inspector Choi again. We met on June 6th to record statements and schedule a three party meeting. On June 13th, Inspector Choi, the representatives of Silla University and I met. In that meeting Inspector Choi declared my housing and contract to be substandard. I was given the choice, Inspector Choi could declare my contract null and void or he could investigate Silla University more for abuses so that I could sue for damages. I asked him to investigate further. I chose to sue. When Kim Hyeong Seok (the male who tried to hide Song Won Moon's lies and abuse) and the other Silla University representatives were faced with their guilt, they improperly fired me. They shouted across the room that I was fired for missing four days of work in May. They also back dated the firing, but foolishly did not back date their letter (which I copied without their knowledge thanks to still having a key for the part time teachers' lounge/mail and locker room). Essentially, I was fired for taking Silla to court and going on strike. Firing me for taking them to court and going on strike is a violation of the Korea Labor Standards Act. On hearing this, Inspector Choi imediately recomended that I file against Silla University at the Choryang Labor Relations Committee. That meeting is scheduled for June 28th at two in the afternoon and I must bring an interpretor. Then, I will meet with inspector Choi on June 30th for his finds report. As a sign that what I have may not be taken away, I paid one last visit to the uninformed president of Silla University. I sat in his waiting room until I had an office filled with fake Korean professors holding bribe bought degrees from Korean institutions. At that point the interpretor came in and asked why I was there. I explaned that "Despite that fact that my protest sign read 'No Pay, No Grades,' I secretly promised my students that I would give them their grades long ago, before the strike. I am from Regent. I am Christian. I keep my word. From the beginning, this has always been about an apology. Song Won Moon will apologize. If not, this will get even more messy. Now, you know that you lied and tried to thieve away my face, pay check and then integrity. All you have is the money, and this is not about money. Does Lee Byoung Hwa know the truth or only Kim Hyeong Seok's lies?" At that point I stood up and left. Two Korean wannabe professors tried to physically detain me. I informed them that tounching me is a violation of the law. I stepped around them gracefully. The shortest one keeping stride swore at me in Korean. I slowed briefly and in Korean asked him why he swore. He knew that he showed his gutteral level and in shock had no reply. So kindly, but firmly looked him in the eyes and said "Song Won Moon." Then, his friend said come back and talk to the police. I said I am going to visit my ex-secretary. I did and then I left. I may win or lose, but the important point is filing and making them go to court. Additionally, I am posting papers at bus stops and shopping areas that detail all that Silla University administrators have done wrong. I will stress the JIM CROW systems at Silla University and in Pusan City Government as much as I can and their are others in line behind me who will do the same. Eventually, racism in Korea will die and fade away. It feels great to be on point! So far, I have reported Silla Univeristy to the: Board of Labor in Seoul, Pusan and Puku; Labor Relations Committee, Choryang; Ministry of Education in Seoul and Pusan; Ministry of Health and Human Services; The Ministry of Justice in Pusan; Pusan Small claims Court; The Ministry of Immigration; one News Paper; one TV Station; and have gone on strike, protesting for two weeks outside the gates. By telling lies and pretending to have done nothing wrong to the foreign educator, especially me, Silla University's Song Won Moon and Kim Hyeong Seok have created the conditions and situation that require me to restructure my life, goals and schedules. I will stay in Korea, continue coming back to Korea and do everything in my power to win everything that Silla University's Song Won Moon and Kim Hyeong Seok owe me. They could have done the right thing in May 2000, June 2000, April 2001 or May 2001, they lied and stalled to hide corruption and thievery. It is now June 2001, as I am currently missing the job interview season in America and I have had two job offers here in Pusan. I will stay to fight on until August. In August I will bring the protest to Florida Atlantic University, Silla's sister school. Then, in September I will return to Pusan to continue chipping away at Silla, up close and personal. The world will know about Silla Univerisity's evil Song Won Moon, Kim Hyeong Seok and Kim Myoung Huk! That activity includes organizing the foreign instructors/professors in/at Pusan universities and colleges in Pusan into a union! Strike. Strike. Strike. Strike. Strike. Strike. I am suing President Lee Byoung Hwa, Dean Kim Myoung Huk, Director Kim Hyeong Seok and Chairman Song Won Moon for Severance Pay (Social Insurance), Pension pay from my own 6% monthly withholding, the matching Pension pay that Silla University should have contributed but did not (4% is not 6%), tax refund, two or three months summer vacation pay, an airline ticket (one way) on United Airlines from Tokyo to Atlanta and a typed apology signed by Song Won Moon and Kim Hyeong Seok. If the court is not able to secure an apology or Administrative Letter of Regret, I wish for complete copies of the court transcripts and ruling. When I get depressed about this entire experience, I will look at them and feel better or reassured that the system does work for tax payers (of which I am one) and for persons (of which I am one). I give my word on the Bible that this is the truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God. Harry David Candela May - June, 2001, |
