Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido
At present, two groups which practice Muso
Shinden Ryu Iaido are known to the author. The Kenshikan Dojo in Melbourne,
Victoria, and the Budokan Academy in Canning Vale, Western Australia.
The
Budokan Academy provides training in Seitei Gata Iaido, Muso Shinden Ryu, Jodo
and the Jishukan system of martial arts (a modern Japanese martial art based on
kenpo, jujutsu, judo, hayanawa and jojutsu). The principal of the academy, Ramon
Lawrence-Sensei together with Bob Shersby Sensei lead instruction in Muso

The Kenshikan
Dojo is located in Melbourne, Australia. The dojo is owned by the members of the
Melbourne Kendo Club, with patronage and assistance from the Otsuka family of
Tokyo (with support from the family to promote cultural exchange of Japanese
sword arts, related to kendo).
The Kenshikan today houses practice in
kendo, seitei iaido, seitei jodo, naginatado, shindo muso ryu jodo and muso
shinden ryu iaido. The Melbourne Kendo Club web site at http://home.vicnet.net.au/~kendo/ also provides up to date
information on activities.
