So, I hear you cry, what is this roleplaying thing anyway? Well basically it is an excuse to be someone completely different for any period of time and is a life saver if you are cracking under stress because of your final year. Anyway enough of my problems, and back to the question in hand. There are many different forms of roleplaying. You can sit around a table and watch your character's future be dictated by a bunch of very many sided dice.
Or you can run around hitting people and actually living your character's life. This is LARPING!(Live Action RolePlaying)
Or you can sign up on the internet and fly around the galaxy aboard a starship, beating up people and aliens in different dimensions.
Or you can make up your own version. There may in fact be other types than those I have listed, If you know of any you can email me and I 'll update accordingly.
Now for those of you who don't know me I take part in the latter two forms. (the internet and LARP forms.)
For the Larp you can read my characters diary. She's not been around for a while but she's back and ready to play. Just follow the book.
Internet roleplaying is different. I'm currently serving on two ships (different characters.)
On the USS Alderaan, I am the Chief Medical officer and was stranded on a planet in the middle of an emergency along with the rest of the senior staff. OOPs!I also serve aboard the USS Warspite as the CMO during a very violent part of Starfleet History. Should be entertaining.
To find out more and to read the crews' past adventures, follow the computers and head for the Startrek Galaxy, and the wonderful world of the internet roleplay.
