"My dear ones, I am your God, your Father and your Creator. I come this day with new power for you, My children. Empowerment, My dear ones. Strive to overcome shyness, resistance to respond, to lead. Your yes includes a reaching out, a going beyond your own comfort; going beyond what you perceive as your abilities; going beyond anything you have done in the past to minister, to see to the comfort of others, to see to their needs, be it in a group such as this, or one you see on the street or in a crowd: someone who needs help.
These days, My dear ones, are days of practice. Practice ministering to others. Practice being the leader I am calling you to be, that I have gifted you to be. This is not a matter of feeling, My children. It is a matter of conviction in My promises: conviction and faith in My words that you do have what it takes, My children, to answer whatever need you perceive in another, to help another, to lend a hand or a shoulder or an arm or a word or a comfort, a look, a kindness, a helping suggestion, a patience, a comfort.
My dear ones, there will be so much of this. Think again of all the destruction you have seen. Think of the survivors of those destructive events; how it is for those versed in ministering to people in great shock, professional people, counselors: ones who are schooled in the right words, in the right actions, in the patience to deal with someone terribly shocked.
I tell you, My children, YOU ARE PROFESSIONALS, AND YOU MUST JUST ACCEPT THIS. Oh, not professionals in the "isms" and the "ologies" with letters after your names! You are PRAYER PROFESSIONALS, My children. You are PEOPLE PROFESSIONALS. YOU ARE BROTHER AND SISTER PROFESSIONALS. YOU ARE LOVING PROFESSIONALS. YOU ARE BROKEN AND WOUNDED PROFESSIONALS, My children. YOU ARE COMPASSIONATE AND UNDERSTANDING PROFESSIONALS. YOU UNDERSTAND NOW WHAT I AM SAYING TO YOU, and I say this most lovingly.
HEAR ME, MY CHILDREN. HEAR YOUR LORD AND YOUR GOD. HEAR ME WITH ALL OF YOUR MIGHT AND YOUR STRENGTH, YOUR ABILITY TO RESPOND, TO SAY 'YES' AGAIN, TO TRY MORE, TO DO MORE, TO PRAY MORE, TO REACH OUT EVEN IF ONLY WITH A FRIENDLY GLANCE, AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT.
My dear ones, you are now publicly in the eyes of the world as a country at war. We have been battling evil since the world was created; since mankind came to be and began to experience the struggle, the fierce battle against self, against the evil one. HE IS YOUR ENEMY! All you see today is propagated and promoted and propelled by Satan, the greatest enemy to good.
My dear ones, think, ponder, reflect. Do not resist, My children. Do not refuse to serve, to practice, to become. I, your God have given you the strength, the abilities you already need, the virtues, the conviction.
Whatever it is you need, My children, you have NOW, with my power, the might of My arm and My Spirit to enable you. Reach out, My dear ones, and grasp all I seek to give you.
I LOVE YOU. I LOVE ALL My children. You are a bridge to their salvation.
Accept this fact, this truth, this mighty gift, My children. Accept the empowerment I give you now. Accept it in peace and joy and freedom, with your YES. Oh My dear ones, you must be READY! You must PRACTICE. Be healed, My children. Be healed in the Name of your Triune God. Be healed. Accept love. Accept power and strength and joy. Be grateful, My children. Amen.Amen. Amen.

Carol Ameche and her husband, Don, have been members of Ste. Maria Goretti Parish in Scottsdale, Az., since 1981. They have five adult children and 11 grandchildren.
