OPEN YOUR HEART IN PRAISE TO THE LORD
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this cloudy day. The sun was shining early this morning
but now it is behind the clouds. We begin a new month today and we thank
the Lord for the month just gone by. I was at the prayer meeting last
evening and there was a large group of people present. We praised and
thanked the Lord for His goodness and sang many songs in His honor.
In my prayer this morning, I was with Jesus who spoke to me saying,
"Melvin, my intimate friend, I love you. The Holy Spirit has been at
work in the world for a long time. He works especially in the hearts of
men and women. He turns their hearts from a worldly way of life to a
life in union with me. The time has now come for a more intense presence
of the Holy Spirit. Some of you have experienced the fire of the Holy
Spirit. The Spirit's fire is spreading and many people will be immersed
in it. This fire is a healing fire, for it heals both spiritually and
physically. It is the result of the great love God has for each one of
you. It will burn away the garbage that is in your hearts and strengthen
and enlighten your minds to follow me with enthusiasm. The Spirit
demands faith and submission to me, the way, the truth and the life. My
dear brothers and sisters open your hearts to this wonderful grace that
I am giving you. It is the New Pentecost which I have told you was
coming. Repent of all your sins and renew your faith in me. Continue to
give time to me in prayer every day. In this way the fire of the Holy
Spirit will come upon you and renew you completely. You will see visions
and hear my voice as I speak to your heart. Open your heart in praise to
your Lord who makes all things new. I bless you all."
Jesus is sending the Holy Spirit upon us as His message today makes
clear. He will be felt like fire with great heat. More and more people
experience this fire today. It is a fire that burns what is not of God
in our hearts and at the same time it strengthens and enlightens us in
the things of God. It also fills us with enthusiasm, with fervor and
joy. This is a great grace which the Lord is giving us all if we believe
in Him. This great fervor was seen among the youth attending the World
Youth Day in Toronto. I pray that it will spread throughout our
countries and bring the faith and the Church alive. May the Spirit
awaken all those who are asleep. Let us open our hearts to the Lord and
let us praise His Holy name.
May the fire of the Holy Spirit come on each one of us to renew us.
