AM DYING OUT OF LOVE FOR YOU
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this sunny day! The rain is over and it is so great to see
the sun again.
I was at the seminar in the Life of the Spirit last evening at Palmer
Road as we prepared ourselves to be prayed with next week. I received
many letters during the past few days. Besides Africa, I received
letters from Germany, England, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, USA and Canada.
I thank you all for your kind words.
On most Fridays, I am with Jesus in His Passion and it is no different
today. Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, come near to me as
I hang upon the cross. I am dying for you and for each person on the
face of the earth. My hands and feet are pierced with nails and my head
is covered with wounds from the crown of thorns. My blood is being
poured out to cleanse you all of sin and to make you all the beloved of
the Father and my brothers and sisters. Father forgive them for they
know not what they do. I ask the Father to forgive those who condemned
me, tortured me and crucified me to this cross. Are you ready to forgive
those who hurt you, abused you or refused to love you? Do not let anger
or resentment continue to fester in your heart. I cannot live in a heart
filled with such darkness. Look at me on the cross. I am your Saviour
dying in great pain for you because I love you. For love of me can you
not forgive as I have forgiven you? Pronounce your words of forgiveness
through your tears and pain and I will wash away your sins. If that is
too difficult at least make an act of the will that you forgive all
those who have wounded you. In this way my death on the cross will bring
you life, eternal life. Consecrate yourselves to me and I will live in
your heart. I am dying out of love for you."
The experience of being there before Jesus as He hangs on the cross is
still with me as I write this. It brings back all the memories of my 30
Day Retreat in Jerusalem when I spent two weeks absorbed in the Passion
of Our Lord. Jesus calls us from the cross to forgive as He forgave
those who abused Him and killed Him. He is the innocent victim for our
redemption, the lamb slaughtered to give us life. Let us thank Him for
this great act of love.
There will be no new message before Monday as I'll be going to Tignish
for the weekend retreat today. The Heritage Inn is fully booked once
more. The theme of the retreat is "Peace, Gift of the Lord." Please pray
for the success of this weekend.
May Jesus' sacrifice bring you close to Him.
