RETURN TO ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this bright Monday! It is sunny and warm here after some
thunder overnight. What a wonderful weekend I had with the great people
of Wedgeport and the area around! The Lord blessed our weekend with much
joy and peace. During the first days we were wrapped in fog but the sun
was shining in our hearts. On Sunday I saw the sun coming up bright and
clear and I knew it was a blessing from the Lord. I arrived home last
night at 10:00 p.m. after a safe trip, tired but happy.
This morning Jesus was there in my prayer. He spoke to me saying,
"Melvin, my friend, I love you. You are back home after your weekend at
Wedgeport, Nova Scotia. I blessed your mission there and I touched many
hearts. You presented to my dear brothers and sisters the prayer that is
so close to my heart. Contemplative prayer is my gift to the world, to
all those who believe in me. I call you all to grow in your intimate
relationship with me. You will come to know me and a deep bond of love
will be established between us. I will become your friend and share my
intimate life with you. You will know me personally and I will live in
your heart. Your daily visit to me in contemplative prayer will be
cherished by me. I will bring you up the mountain and you will
experience realities you never knew existed. I want to be an important
part of your life. We will live together each day walking hand in hand.
I give my friends the gifts of joy and peace which the world cannot
give. I fulfill the longings of your heart. The Father created you with
a place in your heart for me. Return to me and find rest for your heart.
Stop looking in the wrong places for what I alone can give you: rest for
your soul. I am awaiting your return. I love you."
Jesus blessed my "mission" to Wedgeport and it was evident during my
stay there. I thank the parish priest, Fr. Gerald Leblanc, for being a
perfect host. He gave Ceofred and I a great welcome. I love the
beautiful St. Michael's Church of the town. I celebrated the Holy
Eucharist for the parish on Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. Jesus is calling
us all this morning to return to Him and make place in our hearts for
Him. He has great gifts to give us. Let us open our heart to Him.
I will receive great friends of the Lord this morning from the Province
of Quebec. Their wonderful mission is to pray for priests. They gather
over a hundred people every month to pray for that intention.
May the Lord bless you all and fill you with His peace.
