I  WANT  TO  LIVE  IN  YOUR  HEART

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this partly cloudy morning! The sun did shine a short time
ago and it will come out again. I was at the Manor yesterday for the
celebration of the Holy Eucharist and my mother attended. She was much
better, very active and giving the responses with a strong voice as in
the past. She went to play bingo afterwards. I will return to Alberton
for Holy Mass today at 10:00 AM and this time I will be at the Philip's
Residence with my friends there.

I spent my prayer time with Jesus this morning. He spoke to me saying,
"Melvin, my close companion, I love you. You live in my heart. You never
forget to spend time with me in prayer every day. Contemplative prayer
has become a way of life with you and our relationship continues to
grow. Many of my friends too are spending time daily in a heart to heart
prayer with me. They are opening their hearts and their lives to me and
I am filling them with peace. I am filling their hearts with love and
chasing away all fear, bitterness, resentment and darkness. I am filling
them with light and joy. Accept, my people, your calling in life where
you can serve me the best. You have all the graces you need for this way
of life whether it is to be a mother, a father, a grandfather or a
grandmother, a priest, a sister or a single person. Be submitted to me
as I am submitted to my Father. As you are about to enter the season of
Advent, renew your commitment to prayer and help those who suffer. Let
us work together to bring a helping hand to those in need. I want to
live in your heart for I am your brother who has given His life for you.
I bless you."

Jesus calls us this morning to an intimate prayer with Him. He wants us
to give Him our heart. If we do, He will fill it with peace and joy. He
alone can wipe away all fear, resentment and darkness and bring the
light deep into our hearts. Jesus gives us all the graces we need for
our calling in life. Let us be the hands, the ears and the eyes of the
Lord as we visit and help those who suffer. We know that He has
identified Himself with every person who suffers. Let us spend time with
Jesus today who lives in our hearts.

I thank all those who wrote to me wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving Day.
Canada has already celebrated Thanksgiving Day but the celebration in
the United States will be on Thursday. I take this opportunity to wish
all my friends in the US a Happy Thanksgiving. May the Lord bless you
all.

Father Melvin
