I  WANT  A  STRONG  PARTNERSHIP  WITH  YOU

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this fine Wednesday morning!  It was very warm yesterday
and it seems it will be warmer today, up to 28C. With the warm weather
the mosquitoes and the black flies have arrived and they are hungry.

I was with Jesus in my prayer this morning and He spoke to be saying,
"Melvin, my brother, I love you. I love all my friends and there are
many in the world. There are too many though, that are lukewarm; they
are neither hot nor cold. They do things out of routine but their heart
is not in it. They go to church but it is to fulfill an obligation and
there is not much joy in that. My people, I hold you in my heart. Know
that you are precious in my eyes for I gladly suffered and died for you
to make you my brothers and sisters. My Father loves you for He created
you and gave you life. You have been given a great destiny: to be united
with me forever in heaven. Come read the Bible, especially the Gospels,
and learn how much I care for you. Learn from me for I am your Saviour
and I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  The Bible is addressed to
you, each one of you. Your lukewarmness comes from compromises with the
spirit of the world. Your are too occupied with material things. You are
fascinated with what the world can give even though it does not last. I
am the only one who lasts forever. I alone can fulfill your deep desires
and longings of your heart.  Break with the ties to the world and find
joy in union with me.  Open your heart to my touch and my love. I want
a strong partnership with you. I love you."

Sometimes I hear the comment:  "I'm doing my duty, I go to church on
Sunday." There is not much joy in doing one's duty. It is what being
lukewarm means. Jesus teaches us this morning to put our hearts in what
we are doing.  In one of her apparitions in Europe, there were 30,000
people present and they were all praying the rosary. Our Lady was crying
and one of the seers asked her, "Why are you crying? You should be happy
as there are about 30,000 people praying the rosary here with us." Our
Lady said that only five people were really praying. The others were
muttering words, but they were not praying from the heart. It is so
important to put our whole heart in what we are doing.  God loves a
cheerful heart. Jesus wants us to be happy in coming to Him and serving
Him. Because of our attachments to the world, our spirit becomes heavy
when we have to do something of a spiritual manner. He wants us to cut
our ties to material things and to money. He wants a strong partnership
with us and this is of the heart. Let us open our heart to Him then and
He will satisfy our deep desires.

May the Lord brighten our day with the gift of His love and joy.
