I WILL BLESS THEIR EFFORTS
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good afternoon! It is nice and sunny with some clouds. What a great last
Sunday in September! I just came home from Bloomfield after celebrating
Holy Mass at St. Anthony's Church last evening and this morning. I had a
second celebration at the Immaculate Conception Church, the Braie, at
11:30. If there are no funerals I will not have to return to Bloomfield
before Friday.
In my half hour of prayer this morning at St. Anthony's, Jesus spoke to
me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. This is the day of the week
I rose from the dead. It is through the power of God the Father that I
came out of the grave and am now alive. I am proud to wear my wounds on
my glorified body for they are the marks by which I redeemed you all. I
call you to believe with all your heart that I am your resurrected
Saviour who has been given all power in heaven and earth to bring you
all into the Kingdom of God. The Church is like the door to the Kingdom
for she teaches you about the Kingdom, baptizes you so your are reborn
and brings you back to the Kingdom when you depart from it through sin.
Without the Church, it is very difficult to attain to my Kingdom. The
Kingdom begins in this world and is perfected in heaven. Strive my
brothers and sisters to grow daily in this Kingdom of love and peace.
Pray that many will enter it and find their true home. Pray, too, for
the Contemplative Brothers and Sisters of mine, men and women dedicated
to me, that they will soon be born and work serving all the people. They
will help many to enter the Kingdom by coming to know me and to have a
strong relationship with me. I will bless their efforts and bring many
through them to the fulness of the Kingdom in heaven. I love you all."
Jesus today speaks about the Kingdom of God which He came to inaugurate
in this world. It is His Kingdom and He is the King. The entrance is
baptism and the food of the Kingdom is the Eucharist, the body and
blood, soul and divinity of the Risen Lord. Jesus wants everyone to
enter the Kingdom. He calls for prayers for the two new religious
societies called the Contemplative Brothers of Jesus and the
Contemplative Sisters of Jesus. They will work especially for His
Kingdom. Jesus tells us that the Church is the vehicle by which we enter
His Kingdom in most cases. The Brothers and Sisters of Jesus are to
teach about the Lord and help all to have a deep and intimate
relationship with Jesus. From their name we can see that they will know
and be experts in contemplative prayer. They will teach others this
beautiful prayer that brings us close to Jesus.
Let us continue to pray for the Bishop of Charlottetown that he may be
completely healed of his sickness. Continue to pray too for Wayne
Boudreau as he is now beginning to get stronger. Believe in the power of
prayer.
May the Lord give us all an increase of faith to live as humble servants
of God.
