In 1915, Avondale did not field a major team, they did however field the Avondale Dare Devils. The Dare Devils defeated the Yorktown Tigers twice, but then lost to Hartford City in early November and the Congerville Flyers 7-0 in late November.

1916 - Final Record:          Avondale AA        8-3-0      .727          Points: 280-66

The 1916 Muncie Avondale AA won the city championship by beating the Congerville Flyers 2 games to 1game in a 3 game series. The Avondales beat the Flyers 32-2 in the first game in mid-October. Then lost a close 13-12 game on November 19th. But the Avondales rallied the next weekend and shutout the Flyers 13-0.

The season stated off great for the Avondales, winning their first 6 games by a combined score of 243-2. Avondale stated the season in mid-September by beating the local Hagerstown team 27-0 at the Hagerstown grounds. Then taking a week off, Avondale won the next 5 games at home, beating the Elwood, Newcastle Maxwell-Briscoes, Congerville Flyers and West Alexandria (OH) teams convincingly.

Next up was a trip to Anderson to play the local Remy team. The local Anderson paper had the Avondale ranked in a fourth place tie with the Hammond Clabbys for the state championship race, being behind the 3 powerhouse teams, Pine Village, Wabash AA and the Fort Wayne Friars. Even though the Remys finished the 1915 season with a 9-0-2 record and started the 1916 season with a couple of wins, the local paper still did not feel that the Remys were yet in the same class as the Avondales. The results of the game would change that, as the Remys completely overwhelmed the Avondales and sent the Avondales home on the short end of a 39-0 score.
