Gemertak. His name, not surprisngly, means rattle - for a 'dangerous' naga rukel like himself that's par for the course. But he's not all that dangerous really. He would much rather just sit in on classes or watch the daily activities around him. He isn't the brightest of rukels, but he does understand geography and maps, they fascinate him.

Gem's a little protective of what he considers 'his', too. Once he's latched on to something, no matter what it is nor where it came from, it's best left forgotten by its original owner. That's really the only good thing about the saying, 'if it was a snake it would have bit you' - if a ball or toy rolls into his general vicinity, it's now 'his' and that's all there is to it. Who's gonna argue with a snake-creature?
