Pet of the Month
Every month I will choose a picture and story from the entries, and that pet will get it's picture on this site for that month.  If it is a good picture it might end up on some of my other website pages along with the pet's name.
Any kind of pet can be entered but it must have a clear picture to win.   Please include a little information about your pet too.  I will post it along with the picture.
To Enter your pet send me an e-mail with the picture attached.
Wyatt is the brown/red one and Holliday is the black and brown one.  Whenever I am on the computer, at least one of them will crawl under and sit on my feet, or lick my feet, or make it so my feet won't fit under the desk, as is the case in the picture.  Such little clowns.

Wyatt is from the Humane Society and Holliday was on death row at the pound; she was going to be euthanized on the day she was rescued.  A local group does e-list rescues and lucky for us they took her.
When my kids grew up and moved on I had the Empty Nest syndrome in the worst way. I was down in the dumps all the time. I talked my husband into letting me get a puppy. It took a lot of talking but finally he gave in. He said "Not a big dog, not a long haired dog, and not a possessive dog!"  So my daughter and I went to the pound 'just to see' what they have. We saw this dog with such personality...well actually a shy personality...and he was the UGLIEST dog in the pen. We thought that no one would want him so we decided to take him home with us! Here is a picture of him the day we brought him home - at four months old he already weighed 40 pounds!!! My hubby about had a fit! He is half rot and half airedale...which means he will be HUGE! It also means he has long hair!
Well, we brought him home and started training him right away. He is very smart. I am a sign language interpreter so I started teaching him sign language! He caught on right away!!! He is so smart!
Since I was with him ALL the time he became very attached to me...very possessive. My husband and he never did really make up to one another. When my husband is around, Toby sits on my feet! And he pretty much doesn't like for anyone to be around me.
I can honestly say that we rescued this ugly mutt from the pound, but he rescued me from a broken heart!
Thanks!

I am no longer taking entries for Pet of the Month.
Harley is Husky / Chow mix, he is a 10 weeks old and working on his house training skills and is doing quite well, He now is scratching the door to let us know that he need outside. He is a playful little fellow,  He was a pound Puppy that was looking for a forever home and found it with us.  He loves his treats and loves to play with Mom & Dad, and also loves to play with our son.
He has let everyone know he is the King of this castle :)
Olette, Jenny, Eddie, Tina and Trixie.

The picture is in my .... not yet rebuilt kitchen, (I call it rustic neglect look) Olette and three of her babes pose with Trixie.  Trick to getting them to stay still?  the word "Biscuit"  Lot of hard work for the actual SIT when 2 speak only French, the other 3 English :)  I cant post their entire individual personalities.  Tina and Trixie are visiting and are not mine.  Thought you might like a 'behaved' group pic?
