Opera Bastille in Paris are having there good Faust production.
In fact this production is based on the scenography to an old Faust production, that I experienced at Opera Garnier some thirty years ago, and still remember, because of the cuppolo scenography, which were specially well suited to the form and the atmosphare at Opera Garnier. It is an other feeling now, when the production is moved and fitted in to the larger stage at Opera de la Bastille.
An outstanding cast with a wonderfull Soile Isokoski as Margarethe is reminding me of the grandiosity that there use to be at the Paris Opera, where we can expect to here the worlds best singers in leading roles, together with the operas own cast.
