SILENCE AND SOLITUDE Give me golden fields and clear blue streams shopping malls are not my thing I had rather hear a babbling brook or lose myself in a favorite book . Give me moonlit summer nights with a million stars all around smoke filled bars are not my thing I'd rather hear nature sounds. Take me to the river bank in the heat of a summer day where all my worries and troubles the water will wash away. Give me the sound of rain on tin when bedtime rolls around a gentle summer thunderstorm a peaceful soothing sound. To me the sound of silence is never too often heard each day I wait for its return the sweetest noise on earth. |

WHEN GOD TAKES ME HOME When my time here is done and God comes to take me home don't be sad for me I will not be alone. Remember all the good times we had in our lives how I loved simple things like snow on Christmas Eve night. Please don't cry for me because I've gone away instead plant a rose for me and in your hearts I'll stay. Remember how I loved sunshine also the rainy days spring time when the flowers bloomed and Autumn's golden haze. Don't forget my love for poetry please read the words I've left don't let them gather dust sitting somewhere on a shelf. To you all my children no material things I'll leave just bits and pieces of myself so for me please don't grieve. |
