| “So, now what?” Michael said as the phone rang. “Now, I get the phone, and then we finish the song.” Russel said as he walked to the phone. “Hello…yes he is…sure, who might this be…Janet? Alright, here he is.” Michael rolled his eyes, knowing what was coming. Russel handed him the phone. “Hello J, you got another bad felling?” he said with sarcasm. “No Michael! I was watching TV when I saw the ad for you and Gorillaz. Did you know you guys were making a video?” Michael covered the phone and looked at the band. “Are we supposed to make a video for this?” The band looked at each other confused, “Uh, I don’t think so…” 2-D said. “They’re talking about it on channel 15” she said from the phone. Everyone heard it and ran for the TV, leaving the phone hanging from the hook. The person on TV was in mid sentence. “…definitely something new to me, I never saw Michael and the Gorillaz working together! And when they tell us they are making a video, I can’t wait to see that. Now I’m a fan of both Michael Jackson and the Gorillaz but this? How about we take some callers…uh, hello Karen?” “Yes, I am a big fan of Michael Jackson but think the Gorillaz should get a life! They are just working with him to get a little more popular! I heard their song ’19-2000’ and it makes no sense! How can anyone like that?” ****that pained me to type! lol**** “ok…um, lets speak to John now, John?” “GORILLAZ AND MICHAEL JACKSON BOTH RULE to whoever that b-[beep]-ch was that just called.” “So, John, you think what Michael and Gorillaz are doing is good?” “Yes, I think it would be a great song and video and…” They couldn’t take it anymore. Russel shut off the TV and Michael realized he left Janet on the phone, “Janet, are you still there?” he heard laughing on the other end then a click. Then it came to him. Janet had told the public that he and the guys was making a song and video. “Why we make video? Me think we just write song.” Noodle said. Michael hung up the phone explaining what happened. “So…now what do we do?” 2-D asked. “I don’t know about you guys, but when my fans want something I try to get it to them. So we need to make a video.” Michael was leaning against the wall. “Shit man! Your lucky I made a song with you! Now I hafta make a video? That means more time spendt with you!” Murdoc did NOT want this to happen. Michael looked up a Murdoc, “Yes, it does! And you are going to make it easy because the sooner we get all this done the sooner I can get out of here and away from you!” Russel stepped in between them, “We are not going through this again!” he said. “We sing together now?” Noodle asked. “Yes, please, let’s go!” 2-D pleaded. The Gorillaz and Michael worked well together. Somehow the song just came together and sounded really good. Michael thought it must be the way music is, they didn’t argue, or anything! It was almost fun. Scratch the almost, they all had fun working together, but I think Murdoc was just trying to get it all over with. |
