| Lance couldn't believe that Joey had taken one comment so badly. He hadn't meant anything rude by it, but no one seemed to understand that. There were some people who could sleep with hundreds of people and not be a whore and there were some people who were one as soon as they decided to sleep with someone before marriage. That's just the way it is. Maybe it had to do with upbringing or personality. Lance walked over to the bunk that he had been rejected from only an hour ago. "Joey?" Silence. "Joey, I really need to talk." "Go away." "I think I can explain myself." The curtain slowly slid open. "Go ahead." "It's just that, well, there are lots of different types of people in the world." Lance looked down at the sheet of Joey's bed and began to smooth out the wrinkles with his finger. "I guess it's about personality and how they were brought up and I'm sure a lot of other things go into it." He continued to poke and pick at the bed. "Well, I was brought up being told that sex before marriage was wrong and a sin. I understand that others were brought up different, more liberal ways, and I totally feel that those people's morals are fine for them." "Do you think my morals or more liberal than your's?" "Yeah, but in no way wrong for you." Lance closed his eyes, waiting for an angry voice or the breeze of the curtain being pulled shut. "Lance, you'll never be a whore. It doesn't matter what you do." "No, I can't disappoint my parents like that." Joey's hand went up to the side of Lance's face. "Why?" "Because, I just can't." "Ok, I can understand that." He continued to rub the younger man's skin, causing Lance to sigh. "Don't do that." "You like it. I can see how nice it feels to you." "It feels too nice." Joey brought his face close to Lance's ear for a whisper. "It's not evil to enjoy life." "I know that." "So, come and enjoy some." Joey helped Lance to climb into his bunk. It was crowded, but neither man cared. "I shouldn't be doing this." "I promise not to do anything you don't want." "I want things I shouldn't be doing." Lance curled up against the warm body that was half-way underneath him. "We can just sit here and I promise no clothes will come off, ok?" "Ok." Joey kissed Lance's cheek, smiling as the younger man relaxed in his arms. "See, there's nothing sinful about that." He held tightly onto Lance, who was breathing heavily against his chest. "This is ok." Lance pulled his arms around Joey's upper body to pull the warm mass even closer to him. "I'm sorry about earlier." "It's ok. You didn't mean anything rude." "I know, but it was mean of me to say." "You're forgiven." Lance lifted his head to give Joey a passionate kiss on the lips. Once they parted, Lance burrowed his face deep into Joey's shirt. "There was nothing evil about that." |
