Leaving Behind

Chapter 4- Captured

"Is he still alive?"

"He was when we brought him in."

"Wake him up!"

Heero's vision blurred as he was slapped and had smelling salts at his face he shook his head violently and the man who was doing it took a step back. Heero noticed that his wrists and ankles were bound and he wasn't going anywhere not in his condition, he was also stripped.

When his vision cleared he saw three men in front of him, one he recognised as Silverberg the other one was a tall muscular man with a man with a full beard and dark hair, cut to an aggressive military style. The third was a small oriental man with a long moustache and the upper right side of his face was covered in angry red scar tissue.

"Well Yuy, you've certainly outdone yourself my boy." The man spoke with a Russian accent.

Heero simply stayed silent.

"I am Grigori Menshikov." The man introduced himself and then indicated Silverberg "We just received a tip that you were coming, Silverberg showed some interesting things but first things first..."

Menshikov then walked up to Heero and cupped his jaw in his hand "How did you know it was there? Our informant knew nothing of it until the last minute."

Heero simply grunted at him.

"How did you find out it was there? Who informed you of where the Gundanium was?" Menshikov asked coldly.

Heero simply gave him a death glare.

Silverberg shook his head "Give it up Yuy! We're going to get it from you one way or another!"

Heero continued to glare at Menshikov who then folded his arms.

"Have it your way then! Silverberg go the bay and make sure they are on schedule." Menshikov indicated the oriental man forward as he took a step back "Well Mr. Wong looks like we'll get it from him the hard way."

Wong went over to a table as Menshikov ripped the bandages that covered Heero's wounds.

"All right Yuy let me make this clear to you..." Menshikov trailed as he viciously kicked Heero in the side where he was wounded. Heero only gave a small grunt "...As Silverberg has said we will get what we want, one way or another."

Heero only glared prompting a smirk from Menshikov.

"Wong." Menshikov said indicating that it was his cue.

Wong picked up a bucket and threw it all over Heero. Then Wong picked up what resembled what resembled with a pad in each hand. After bringing them to life he applied a pad.

Heero could barely hold a scream of agony, as he was shocked. He was breathing heavily a few minutes after it was over. He was shocked at various points including his wounds.

"Now do you feel like telling us?" asked Wong.

Heero only grunted at him.

Wong shocked Heero again at the same points it continued for about a quarter of an hour before...

"Enough!" Menshikov ordered.

Heero's breathing was somewhat ragged and more blood was pouring from his wounds.

Later Silverberg entered then whispered in Menshikov's ear, Silverbergs back was to him and Heero could not read his lips.

"All right. You're in charge in here Silverberg." Menshikov said as he left the room.

After Menshikov left, Silverberg asked Wong "I take it you have not gotten anything from him?"

Wong only shook his head "We even tried Truth Serum it doesn't work."

"Unfortunate, why don't you just give it up Yuy?"

Heero merely grunted at him.

"You know..." Silverberg said as he picked up an iron bar from a corner of the room "...we are going to get what we want from you one way or the other..."

"Go fuck yourself..." Heero sneered.

Silverberg raised the iron bar and viciously struck Heero in the side, which was already bleeding profusely from the earlier.

"So tell us Heero, who is your informer who told you about where we had the Gundanium stored?"

Heero simply spat at him. Silverberg then kicked him in the groin and then kept beating him with the iron bar, hitting various places of Heero's body at random until Wong firmly grabbed Silverberg's arm, restraining him.

"What are trying to do? He said to interrogate him!!! NOT kill him!" Wong snapped.

Heero was gasping in agony he had several bruises from where Silverberg had beat him, blood was pouring from his scalp and his earlier wounds were bleeding even more from his earlier treatment.

"Clean his wounds, give him some morphine and patch him up..." Silverberg said as he left the room slamming the door behind him.

After Quatre and Noin explained what happened to the others, they discussed what to do next.

"Well we're in luck, we now know where they moved the Gundanium and that's probably where Heero is being held." Sally explained as she pointed out their new location on a map of L-3.

"We also have the names of a few others involved in this." Said Wufei as he laid out a few pictures, indicating one of them he said "Grigori Menshikov, a former Alliance Major, who then joined the White Fang and then the Marimeia Army."

"Li Shang Wong another formerly of the Alliance Military he was one of those in charge of taking on rebels in the colonies among his responsibilities was the... 'interrogation' of prisoners."

"Interrogation as in torture, right?" asked Duo.

Sally nodded "In fact this is where all the Gundanium has been going, we have reason to believe the Gundanium is being used to build a new type of mobile suit..."

They then discussed both Heero's rescue and how they plan to capture Menshikov and the others.

Silverburg went down to the bay where their Gundam was being developed, a much more powerful Gundam. Silverberg approached Menshikov who regarded him sternly.

"Well?" Menshikov began.

"We weren't able to get anything out of him, he's unconscious for the time being."

"All right we'll have to resume as soon as possible though we can ill afford them finding Tsunami." Menshikov replied.

"So how is development on Tsunami progressing?" Silverburg asked.

"Almost complete, it will be ready within an hour or so ahead of schedule..."

Heero groaned and looked down at himself he was still naked except for a few bandages and he was still tied down. The cold did much to numb the pain.

Heero's head was bandaged; he had bandages on his chest, shoulder and abdomen. There were bruises all over his body.

I have to...get...out of here.

Heero looked around the room, Wong was gone and there was no one else in the room apart from himself.

I have...to try...

With an concentrated effort and trying to ignore the pain of his injuries, Heero wrestled at the leather strap that held his right arm...

Author's Notes: I was thinking more of that episode where Heero broke out of that hospital with help from Duo.
