Midii Une is a young Earth Sphere Alliance spy who gets involved with Trowa or No-Name/Nanashi as he is then known, in AC 190. This is five years before Operation Meteor kicks off the television series Gundam Wing.
Midii appears in the manga Episode Zero, which has an issue dedicated to exploring the past of each pilot and Relena. Midii does not appear in Gundam Wing or Endless Waltz, although the cross Trowa wears in a flashback in Endless Waltz was given to him by his first friend, Midii Une.
Midii's mission is to infiltrate a group of mercenaries rebelling against the Alliance, Trowa is a part of that group. Both of them are around 10 years old at the time.
Trowa describes the two of them as being "the same." He is the one who finds Midii in the woods and introduces her to the mercenary captain who raised him.
Midii stays with the mercenaries and Trowa during the fall and winter months before finally they are attacked due to information gathered by the game necklace she wears. Midii protects Trowa by giving him a cross to wear which also transmits information to the Alliance.
During the attack Trowa saves Midii but later almost shoots her and abandons her after realizing she is the one who betrayed the mercenaries, who are all killed.
Midii tells Trowa she did what she did to earn money to support her sick father and three brothers. She envies his independent life because he has no name or responsibilities as she does.
"I can't even tell the one I love that I love them," she tells him sadly.
She is never heard from again.
