Now, all of this other costuming led to some interesting years of Halloween costumes at our house. Renaissance Faire costumes became the default, cheater's way out for Halloween. There were other costume, too, though. There was the "Early Tudor" gown that my sister's friend, Zaena, gave me. Since I was still a Gypsy at Faires, it really didn't count as a Faire costume to go as Catherine of Aragon or Anne Boleyn.

And going to Medieval Times in peasant costumes, only to find ourselves in more authentic costumes than any of the performers or staff made for an incredibly funny evening.
