The subterranean lake is situated just behind the stage, two floors under it. It's situation is very imporant because the sound of the music revote in the water, and its echo helps the sound which the audience listen be better. In the lake live little back and blind fishes. |

In the Grand Foyer, you can see 20 columns. Every column serve as pedestal for as many golden statues personifying the qualities artists ought to possess: Imagination, Hope, Tradition, Fancy, Passion, Strength, Thought, Prudence, Moderation, Elegance, Will, Grace, Science, Faith, Dignity, Beauty, Wisdom. |

In the cellars, there's a time capsule hiden since 1907. It said it will be opened next January in 2007, in Opera's anniversary. If Erik was friend and colleage of Garnier...maybe did he put something especial in this capsule too? |

The chandelier of the huge stage fell down into the audience in May of 1896, killing an usher...just like Leroux wrote in his novel. |

Going on with this last time, 1896, in the Opera's Library (inside the building), there's an especial enciclopedia about the history of the Opera...every book is about a year...and the only book which is not there is the 1896. There's a hollow there. |

Opera's inside is plenty of candles. But why? There're just some candles, but the light is insufficient. So,Garnier asked to create walls plenty of mirrors. That way, all the lights are duplicated and as effect you can see thousand of candles. |

Opera's ceiling is full of differents paintings: "Melody in union with Harmony and Glory", "Orpheus and Eurydice", "Salome", "Daphne", "Psyche","Music and Beauty", "Apolo and the Muses"...every painting ...are not similar stories and images than the Phantom? |
