Next March 2005 a new movie (mini-serie) will be made based in Leroux's story.
It will be a French movie with France 3 as producer and Volker Schlöndorff as director.
Only four actors have been announced: Jeremy Irons as the Phantom, Marie Gillain as Christine, August Diehl and Klaus Maria Brandauer.
Bruno Coulais (Vidocq, The Chorus, Belphegor, Don Juan, Le Compte de MonteCristo, Migrations...) will be the music composer.
The movie will be made in Belgium and Roumania.
