INTERNATIONAL GROUP "WHEELS OF JUSTICE" TOUR COMING TO OGLALA LAKOTA NATION

Porcupine SD – On Saturday August 30, members of the International Solidarity Movement, Voices in the Wilderness, the Palestinian Right to Return Coalition and others will give a special presentation at the Porcupine Clinic as part of an educational outreach effort addressing human rights for Palestinians as well as learning more of colonialism’s effects on Lakota people. Oral Presentations as well as a Slide Show focusing on the illegal occupation of military forces in Iraq and Palestine will begin at 4:00 pm at the Porcupine Clinic Conference Room. The international coalition, based in Chicago, is calling itself the “Wheels of Justice Tour” and is approaching an already growing domestic opposition to the illegal occupation of Iraq and Palestine. The Wheels of Justice Tour (www.justicewheels.org) also promotes Self Determination for Palestinian people as opposed to Occupation and Colonization.  The full sized tour bus is scheduled to arrive in Porcupine on Saturday and Will stay overnight. The Lakota Student Alliance is asking for support for the overnight stay of the Palestinian and White American guests. Host families will be welcomed by calling the Lakota Student Alliance Coordinator at the number provided. All Tiyospayes, Treaty Council Delegates, Headsmen, Community Members, Tribal Council Representatives and active members of the General Public are urged to attend.  Lakota Nation peoples will also have an opportunity to exchange ideas and information with the educational tour group. Refreshments will be served.
