New construction on Fenton at Wayne looking east from the top of the City Place parking structure. The yellow will disappear as the exterior finish of the building is applied.

The open space behind City Place looks like a dirt storage site at the moment as it awaits its sequential turn for development. A hotel is planned for the west side of this site fronting on Georgia Avenue.

This is the view looking from Wayne and Fenton looking west toward downtown.

The black along Fenton continues to be the most obvious external sign of downtown Silver Spring revitalization. Things are happening in phases and change is coming in waves.

A colorful metal sculpture and vest pocket park both on Fenton. Will they become a part of the Silver Spring past or will they rise at new sites?

More change close to home? Oops, there go the raspberry plants on the vacant lot around the corner. The Easter Seal Society is planning adult day care, child care and administrative offices at Spring and Second. More on this another time.
