This is a fountain seen across the square in the courtyard of the monastery. The building is part of the chapel where the monks used to worship. The monastery was built over 850 years ago. It is no longer a running monastery, but what remains is in very good condition. |

In the previous picture, the curved section of the building is what houses this fountain. Unfortunately, it wasn't running because the weather was not yet warm enough. |

This vineyard was part of the monastary. The monks made their wine using the grapes they grew. The terraces make it possible to use mountainsides for growing things. |
