Castles

You can just see the outline of Rebecca's head.  This is up in the tower of some castle ruins.  The steps going up are kept in good condition though it can get pretty dark in about the middle of the tower on the way up.

Taken at the bottom of the tower.  Cera, Silas and a friend, Richie, are sitting on a bench that was getting overgrown with vines and plants.  A nice secluded spot, if you aren't afraid of bugs, like ticks, getting on you.  Ha ha!

This picture is probably too dark to see the kids sitting at the front of the castle ruins.  But they are there.  Cera, Silas and Richie.  The tower in the background is the one that the previous picture of the river was taken from.

I took this picture from the doorway of the bus we were on when we went to Austria.

I wouldn't exactly call this a castle, but it resembles one enough to be on this page.  It was up in the mountains on a road we were exploring.

Two towers.  If you look closely, you can see Mark, Cera & Silas climbing the stairway in the middle.

Just another pretty castle.  This one is along the Neckar River somewhere.

I don't know if you can make it out, but in the center of this picture is the tower to a castle that we saw on one of our volksmarches.

Another castle that we saw on a volksmarch.  This is at the beginning of the trail, while we were still in town.

This is Herrenchiemsee Castle, built by King Ludwig II.  The outside is getting fixed, but the inside was magnificent!

This is a new picture.  We saw this castle on our way down to the Black Forest.  It was a short distance after we got off the A5 at Offenberg.
