Poetry

Many people believe that because I am a reading/literature teacher that I love poetry.  This is NOT true . . . generally.  Like the rest of you, I was forced to read and write many poems of various types and genres.   To this day I have a nervous tic when the phrase "poetry unit" is uttered in my presence.        But, even with this anti-poetry philosophy, there are some poems that I have found that I really like.  These are not poems with deep meaning or confusing rhyme schemes . . .
