One of my family's favorite past times has always been the zoo.  When I was young, we used to go at least once a year.  In the past few years, we have gotten into it again.     I am going to start putting my interesting pictures from the zoo on these pages.      All these pictures come from the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC. P.s.  I know some of these pictures are quite blurry, but when a flash isn't an option, the quality decreases.

Call me weird, but my favorite place in the zoo is the reptile house and aquarium!

When I was there last, at night for the Christmas Lights, the snakes were feeling frisky.  Almost all were awake and moving about.  The one at left and right, seemed to be either challenging or sizing up the passers by.  The king cobra, above, was also putting on a good show.
