A History of Violence
Viggo Mortensen stars as Tom Stall, a family man who lives in a small town and owns a diner. One night while on the job, two criminals show up at his diner and try to rob the place. Tom however, manages to take out the bad guys and becomes the town hero. As history becomes big news, mobsters start showing up and insist he is someone else. Soon, Tom's own family begins to question his own actions and his background. This film also stars Ed Harris and Maria Bello. I enjoyed this film to a certain extent. The extent being about two thirds of the way through the film. Then the story just tends to falter a little bit. The performances are very good. The film however, just seems to head south. The problem is we find out too much to early in the film and resulted in some sequences that just didn't work.
