This movie is a celebrity acted movie version of the Garrison Keillor Radio Show. The film stars Garrison Keillor, Lily Tomlin, Meryl Streep, Lindsey Lohan, and Woody Harrelson as some of the performers for a live radio show called The Prarie Home Companion. The Fritzgerald theater, in which the show is performed at, has been bought and it is the shows last final night. The cast is saddened, but ready to give one last performance. Kevin Kline stars in the film as security guard Guy Noir who is the films narrator. Victoria Madsen stars as a Dangerous women who walks around the theater the night of the last show for unknown reasons. Tommy Lee Jones stars as the buy of the theater. The film also stars John C. Reilly, Tim Russell, and Maya Rudolph. I enjoyed this film for a while, but it becomes to repititous and becomes boring. The performances are there, but nothing seems to happen. How about a last minute attempt to keep the show going? Why let the show end if you enjoy it without trying to save it? This film didn't catch my interest, but older adults may enjoy it. |
