Billy Bob Thorton stars in this film as a criminal who teams up with a midget criminal(Tony Cox) to pose as a mall Santa Claus and a elf in order to rob the mall on Christmas Eve. Lauren Graham, Bernie Mac, and the late John Ritter also star. Bad Santa is a film filled with raunchy humor. Some of it works and some of it doesn't. Unfortuantely there is more of the latter. There is one scene that involves a pinball machine that is quite possibly the most hilarious thing ever put in a movie. There are other laughs, but not enough. This flim has a clever idea, but builds up for heist at the end that really doesn't amount to much. This is a decent film, but falls short of a recommendation. |
