John Travolta reprises the roll of Chili Palmer in this new film that sequels the hit Get Shorty. This time around Palmer is getting in the music business. He has a star on the rise(Christina Milian) and an owner of a slumping record company(Uma Thurman), and just needs to put it all together. However, when a rival company threatens to keep that from happening, Palmer has to come up with a way to get rid of them. Vince Vaughn, Cedric The Entertainer, and Danny De Vito also star. Travolta is once again on top of his game with the roll of Chili Palmer and I liked the performance by Christina Milian, but that was about it. This film has so many things going on at one time that it took me 2/3 of the way to get into the movie. This wasn't a bad film, it just was quite there for me. |
