With her friend R.C.(Lynn Collins), the to enjoy a night of getting high and boozing. The R.C. introduces Agnes to someone she just met named Peter(Michael Shannon). Peter is and Army vet who is as alone as Agnes and the to slowly, but surely become friends and then lovers. However, what Agnes doesn't now, is that Peter was in a mental hospital after being in the army and broke out of it. Peter somes from severe hallucinations in the form of seeing bugs. He soons starts to see them in Agnes's motel room. Agnes who is alone and longs for friendship, gives into the hallucination and soon believes it herself. This film also stars Brian F. O'Bryne. The acting in this film is very good and the idea is interesting, but when the characters begin to go south, it just becomes to chaotic. The last 20 minutes is constant rambling that leads to and abrubt ending that just didn't work for me. I felt like I left empty handed. This film just fell short. |
