Disturbia
Shia LeBeouf stars as Kale Brecht, a teenager living under three months house arrest after he punches is Spanish teacher. Brecht is bored sitting at home all day and since he has nothing better to do, he decides to spy on the neighbors. He then focuses on specially on two neighbors, the hot blonde(Sarah Roemer) who becomes his love interest, and the creepy Mr. Turner(David Morse). Kale then one night witnesses what he thinks may be a murder in Mr. Turner's house and sets out for a way to prove. Only problem, he can't leave his house to do it. This film also stars Aaron Yoo, Jose Pablo Cantillo, and Carrie-Anne Moss. Naturally you wouldn't think this film would work when the main character is locked away in this own home, but it does. The performances are very good. I like Moss as the worried mother and I like the eariness of Mr. Turner. Roemer and Brecht are also good. I also liked how only part of the film was based on the murderer because there isn't alot that can be done with it and I think it was more important to focus on Brecht being house arrest.
