This movie stars Vince Vaughn as Peter La Fleur, the owner of a "Average Joe's gym", a local gym designed as a home for the underdogs of society. In fact its so much of a home to some that La Fleur doesn't push for membership fees. Ben Stiller stars as White Goodman, the owner off the most popular chains of health clubs, "Global Gyms." Goodman sees La Fleur's gym as a could place for him to expained his company next and it will be his unless La Fleur can come up with $50,000 in six months. So La Fleur and the faithful members of his gym enter a Las Vegas Dodgeball tournament in hopes of saving there beloved hangout. This film also stars Christine Taylor, Stephen Root, Gary Cole, Rip Torn, and many more. On paper and by looking at the trailer, this film looks like a bad sequel to the mostly unfunny BASEketball. What it turns out to be is perhaps the suprise hit of the summer. This was the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. Ben Stiller gives a terrific performance as Goodman in this film. This is a true underdog movie that will have you laughing constantly. |
