Final Destination 2 is the sequel to Final Destination in which a kid invisions a plane crash and runs of a airplane in a panic. He, among others make it of the plane and then it explodes just like in his vision. Weeks later the people who got off the plane, start to die in mysterious ways. The characters soon realize that the deaths are accidents and that death is out to get them for getting of the airplane. The first film was clever and unique. I have been quoted as saying it was better then all the Scream movies. Then there is this one. The new film starts the hot A.J. Cook as Kimberly Corman, a teenage girl who is driving her SUV with a few friends of hers and has a terrible nightmare while being stopped at a intersection. She wakes up in a panic and refuses to enter on to a busy road for feer that a major car accident will occur. Moments later a major car accident does occur. Kimberly saves the day, or does she. Weeks later, the people who should have died in the car accident began to die mysteriously. Kimberly fears that death is out to get her and the survivors and she turns to Clear Rivers(Ali Larter), the lone survivor from the first film, for help. The film also stars Micheal Landes. This film takes the idea of the first film and sticks it like a pig. It's like an exact copy of it, well almost. We got to see some nice titties right away. That's always a bonus. Then came the dream sequence of a car accident, which was done well, though a little more graphic then necessary. Then the girl freaks out and refuses to get on the busy road, saving her life and others. From that point the movie is like the last and all the survivors start to die strange deaths. The film is okay for a while, but it's obligation to be extremly graphic and recycled plot keep it from reaching a the same level as it's predecsor. |
