This movie series is back for a third time and not much has changed. This time Wendy Christensen(Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has a vision before going on a roller coaster that she and everyone aboard will die in a horrible accident. She panics and gets off and a number of people follow. Those who remain on suffer the fate Wendy envisioned. Suddenly the surivors began to die one by one in strange accidents. Wendy soon realizes that she will have to cheat death if she is to survive. The film also stars Ryan Merriman and Amanda Crew. The problem with this film is that it just simply recycles the previous films. The first film was a clever idea and done well. The second one was terrible. This one falls somewhere in the middle. It has its moments such as a very entertaining seen in a tanning salon until an accident takes place. However, there are moments in the film that I just can't believe. Take the seen at the hardware store. The accident there is caused partially because the kid doesn't know how to drive a forklift. Does he not know how to drive or am I suppose to believe that death has taken over the forklift and caused him to hit everything in the store? Maybe I should partially take that back since the forklift later on managed to run itself with out anyone on it. It's stupid moments like these that bring the film down. |
